10.10.2022 - Meeting in Venice "Internship and Work in Europe"

On Monday 10 October 2022 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the meeting "Internship and Work in Europe" was held, organised in collaboration between Europe Direct-Eurodesk of the Comune di Venezia, Ca' Foscari University of Venice and Eurocultura, in Venice at Aula Berengo of Ca' Foscari University.

The event is part of the project "Explore The World - Veneto in Movimento" a cycle of webinars and training meetings on the theme of youth mobility.

With studies nearing their conclusion or as a recent graduate, the European Union becomes an ideal option to devote time to personal and professional growth. In particular, when job opportunities in Italy do not match one's expectations or are scarce due to the economic situation.

With a view to internationalisation, companies and institutions are increasingly looking for people who have had at least one study or work experience abroad. In order to fit more easily into today's labour market, in fact, it is not enough to have technical skills, it is necessary to be able to move with ease in an international context, i.e. to speak foreign languages fluently and to know the culture, behaviour and way of thinking of the foreign interlocutor.

During the speech promoted by the Europe Direct-Eurodesk service of the Comune di Venezia in the context of Explore the world...Veneto in Movimento! a cycle of informative meetings aimed at citizens on the theme of mobility in Europe, the speaker Bernd Faas presented an up-to-date overview of trends and possible destination countries for training and work periods to support the construction of an international career.
