On Friday the 19th of February 2021 at 2:30 pm, the award ceremony of the "Impresa Ambiente" Award -eighth edition was held online.
The "Impresa Ambiente" Award is the highest Italian recognition for companies, public and private bodies that have made an innovative contribution to processes, systems, partnerships, technologies and products with a sustainable development view on environmental respect and social responsibility.
The event is promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Venice Rovigo with the patronage of the Ministry of the Environment and the Protection of the Territory and the Sea and in collaboration with Unioncamere, the European Commission and Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the City of Venice.

The winners of the individual categories can compete for the European Business Awards for the Environment (E.B.A.E.) promoted by the Directorate-General for the Environment of the European Commission.
The five winning companies and Cap Holding Spa will compete for the European Business Awards for the Environment (Ebae) 2022-2023 of the European Commission (DG Environment).

"Impresa Ambiente" Award
The "Impresa Ambiente" award, iItalian edition of the European Business Awards for the Environment’ (E.B.A.E.), was held in Italy for the first time in 2006.
It is the highest Italian recognition for companies that have made an innovative contribution in terms of environmental sustainability and social responsibility during the course of their production activities.
As for the European Prize, companies can submit their application for participation in one or more of the categories provided for in the call. Since 2007, in Italy, the "Special Young Entrepreneur Award" was introduced. It is a recognition reserved to holders or business managers under 40, in competition for one of the four categories, and who have distinguished themselves for entrepreneurial skills, innovation and research in the field of sustainable development.
The partecipation in the competition is free
The formal appraisal of the applications was carried out by the Organizational Secretariat of the Impresa Ambiente award, which analyses the documentation acquired, the administrative checks and the verification of the compliance with the requirements set out in the invitation to the call for tender.

European Business Awards for the Environment (E.B.A.E.)
The participation in the Impresa Ambiente Award allows the Winning Organizations to compete for the biennial edition of the European Business Awards for the Environment (E.B.A.E.) promoted since 1987 by the Environment Directorate-General of the European Commission, to promote and give recognition to companies that have contributed to sustainable development.
The European Prize is awarded to organisations in the 27 Member States of the Union.
The Directorate-General for the Environment is one of the 40 Directorates-General (Dgs) and specialised services that make up the European Commission. Its main function is to propose and develop new environmental standards and to monitor the effective implementation of the measures adopted in the Member States.
The Itailian representative of the European Business Awards for the Environment is Andrea Da Lio.
