The Youth Project Office and Europe Direct Padua of the City of Padua, in collaboration with Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the City of Venice, are organizing the first edition of the Summer School "Hey EU! Connecting European Union to Youth," aimed at 40 young people between the ages of 16 and 18.

 

The initiative takes place from Tuesday, June 27 to Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the City of Padua and at multiple locations of the University of Padua. Participation is free and aimed at students enrolled in grades III and IV of secondary schools in the City of Padua.

The initiative is among the activities of the European Year of Skills. 

 

Contents: 
The central theme of the three-day training is European citizenship, with the aim of bringing young people closer to the European Union and its institutions to promote their more accomplished democratic awareness and participation. Through the presentation of European policies and practices, on a national and local scale, it is intended to inform participants about EU strategic priorities in the areas of inclusion, multiculturalism and sustainability.

 

Classroom training activities with lecturers and researchers/researchers from the University of Padua and interactive workshops, convivial moments and informal exchange are planned to facilitate group formation.

 

Program: 
Activities are held from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Lunches on the three days are designed as convivial moments of discussion and knowledge among participants and are paid for by the organization.
