31.05.2019 - #UEalGiro The EU follows Giro d'Italia 2019 - Stage 19 in Veneto

This year "Giro d'Italia" turns European again.
The European Commission Representation in Italy will participate to the 2019 edition of Giro, to promote the European presence in our territories and the EU actions in the field of sport, health, the environment and sustainable mobility.
Throughout all the Italian route of Giro d'Italia, a camper van with the colors of the EU flag will join the troop to inform and make citizens and sports enthusiasts aware about the numerous European policies dedicated to the environment, sport, health, sustainable mobility and food security.

Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice is present to the stage n.19 of Friday 31 May 2019 in Treviso in collaboration with the Municipality of Treviso and to the Province of Treviso, partner of the Veneto sub-network of Europe Direct Venice Veneto.

In addition, along the Italian stages of Giro, which will run from 19 to 31 May across the peninsula, are located dozens of natural or artistic sites which were restored, enhanced or rebuilt by the EU in Italy. Every day, the European Commission will highlight these and other sites, without forgetting research and innovation projects, Italian PDO products, support for small and medium-sized Italian companies.
