COMMUNICATION AND CREATIVITY COMPETITION

This year too, the international competition for communication and creativity "Climate change 2020" has been announced - the eighth edition and it is possible to register and submit projects on climate change.

It is possible to see the video presentation on Facebook. In the video Bianca Nardon, president of Shylock Centro Universitario Teatrale di Venezia and Director of the competition "Climate change", together with Amelia De Lazzari, researcher of CNR ISMAR and the sculptor Leonardo Nava introduces the theme.

The international competition of communication and creativity for works published and unpublished on the topic of climate change is organized by the Association Shylock Centro Universitario Teatrale di Venezia with the collaboration of Ca' Foscari University of Venice and Europe Direct Venice Veneto of the Municipality of Venice and under the patronage of the Ministry for the Environment, the Protection of the Territory and the Sea, the CMCC - Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change, the WWF Italy, Legambiente and ISDE Italy - Doctors for the environment.
The aim of the Competition is to encourage an interpretative and active approach to environmental issues with a reference to the European 2020 Strategy, in particular the pillar of Sustainable Europe and the European Green Deal. The initiative aims to stimulate the design and production of communication and artistic tools on the topic of climate change, enhancing a constructive or proactive approach in line with the deepening of the basic knowledge of the latest international reports on the subject.

Theme

The 2020 edition is open to any interpretation of the theme, but also proposes some thematic focus in connection with the Pandemic Covid19 and the role of women in the context of the changes in daily life imposed by the global environmental challenge.

Target

The target of the competition are all authors of any nationality who have reached the age of 15 at the time of expiry of the delivery of the papers. Both individual and collective authors or formal bodies are allowed.

Sections of participation

- Section 1: candidacy of unpublished works and projects by individual or collective authors.

- Section 2: reporting of published works and projects carried out by authors, publishers or other third parties.

Typology of work

- Writing works: writing works of any kind, in Italian. Maximum length limits are provided.

- Other types of works and projects: unpublished works and projects of creative communication made through the most diverse techniques and modes of expression.

Deadline: 30 September 2020. The works and reports should be sent by e-mail to: competition@cut.it. In case of accession it is recommended to read the full call.

The results will be announced by the organisers in November 2020. By December 2020 there will be a public event to share results in Venice or, in case of impossibility due to the Covid19 emergency, an online presentation will be organized.
