"At School with EU" at Istituto Luzzatti of Mestre-Venice (VE), 28th March 2019
From January to March 2019 there is the "School of Europe" series of lectures on European themes.
The meetings, totally free, take place at secondary schools in the Veneto region that have requested it at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year.
Thursday 28 March 2019 from 11.00 am to 13.00 am at the I.I.S. L.Luzzatti of Mestre-Venice (VE), the tenth meeting of the cycle "At school with Europe" is held, with a speaker of ESN - Erasmus Student Network.
The duration of the meeting is about 2 hours and the European themes deal with studying, training, working, and doing voluntary work abroad, activities that increase the skills of young people, foster their personal development, adaptability and increase their employability.
In 2019 the meetings are concentrated in the last years of high school classes, in order to interact with new voters close to 18 years old: the meetings are interactive and oriented on the upcoming elections of the European Parliament.
The meeting is the result of collaboration between Europe Direct Venezia Veneto, USR Ufficio Scolastico Regionale Veneto and ESN - Erasmus Student Network
The event is part of the "Primavera dell'Europa" (Spring of Europe), an initiative to promote learning and discussion in schools on issues related to the European Union. It aims to foster the involvement of students and teachers in order to deepen their knowledge on the forthcoming enlargement of the Union, giving schools the opportunity to discuss and celebrate this important stage in the history of the European Union.
