"School of Europe" at the High school Severi of Padua (PD), 25 March 2019

From January to March 2019 was held the cycle of meetings "School of Europe" concerning European topics. The meetings took place in secondary schools in the schools of Veneto region that have requested it at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year, free of charge.

Monday March the 25th, 2019 from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm at the Industrial Technical Institute F. Severi of Padua (PD), the ninth meeting of the cycle "School of Europe" was held with ESN - Erasmus Student Network.The duration of the meeting was about 2 hours and the European themes deal with studying, training, working, and doing voluntary work abroad, activities that increase the skills of young people, foster their personal development, adaptability and increase their employability.

The meetings targeted the last years of high school classes, in order to interact with the new voters close to 18 years old: the meetings were interactive and oriented on the upcoming elections of the European Parliament starting from the institutions and policies of the European Union. Opportunities for young people, transnational mobility and the future of the Union will be discussed too.

The meeting is the result of collaboration between Europe Direct Venezia Veneto, USR Ufficio Scolastico Regionale Veneto and ESN - Erasmus Student Network

The event is part of the "Primavera dell'Europa" (Europe Spring), an initiative to promote learning and discussion in schools on issues related to the European Union.The aim was to foster the involvement of students and teachers in order to deepen their knowledge on the forthcoming enlargement of the Union, giving schools the opportunity to discuss and celebrate this important stage in the history of the European Union.
