As part of the initiatives organized by the lagoon city in occasion of the Europe Day 2018, the show "Europe of War and Europe of Peace" was held, which is part of the 2018 Year European cultural heritage.
The show took place from 10.00 am to 12.00 am at the Santa Margherita Auditorium in Campo Santa Margherita, in Venice, aimed at sensitizing, through acting, music and dance, the importance of European history and common values ​​especially the youngest.
In fact, the protagonists of the morning performances were the girls and boys of the Venetian Theater Academy, the Liceo Musicale of Venice and the Educated State High School "Agli Angeli" of Verona, who have interpreted, through the performing arts, issues related to the hundredth anniversary of the end of the Great War in order to stimulate reflection on the important role played by the European Union in maintaining a lasting peace in the continent.

Scenic reading of the "Booklet for a European Opera" by Gianfranco de Bosio and Maria Gabriella Zen.
Verses of 24 great poets set in the structure of the historical eschilean tragedy to reflect on the Europe of war and the Europe of peace with students and actresses of the Venetian Theater Academy.
Music of Maria Gabriella Zen - Adapted and directed by Nicoletta Maragno

Eight women's voices recall the painful historical events that paved the way to the collaboration between people around Europe.
In an historical moment in which often particularisms question the peace created, the theatrical reading "Chronos Paradoxos", was born with the intent to make known "the cultural identity of Europe", retracing the crucial moments that, during the twentieth century, led to the decision to create a supranational Union to ensure greater harmony and cohesion. Through the works of 24 poets (23 European and one American), written in ten European languages, the dramatic historical events, such as the Spanish War and the Second World Conflict, have been traced with the structure of the "Greek tragedy".
