"Let's Become European Citizens 2020" Competition

The "Become European Citizens 2020" Competition was open for young people and schools organized by the European Federalist Movement in collaboration with Europe Direct of the Municipality of Venice, to stimulate active and aware European citizenship.

The competition relates, optionally, to one of the following essays:
- WRITTEN ESSAY: article, short essay, theme, report, essay, etc .; max. 4 pages of protocol sheet or 5 pages. See the topics in the competition announcement.
- GRAPHIC ESSAY: choice format; allowed all techniques, including multimedia ones. See the topics in the competition announcement.
Competition for second-year secondary school students in Veneto.
Deadline for submission of the essay: 15 April 2020 (see details in the announcement)

REWARD: The winners were rewarded with a Europeanist holiday and training stay at the House of Europe in Neumarkt (Styria - Austria) from July 27th to August 1st 2020.
The winners will be officially awarded in May 2020 in Mestre during the conference "Europe for young people" which will also host the award ceremony of the "Become European citizens" competition. At the following link the information about the cerimony.

Series of meetings "At school in Europe"
To encourage participation in the competition and to stimulate the European debate, schools can request a meeting at their headquarters by the Europe Direct of the Municipality of Venice and the MFE European Federalist Movement, on issues of European citizenship, European institutions, mobility transnational education and the priorities of the new European Parliament and European Commission. Dates and topics to be agreed.
