Palazzo della Provvederia Hall in Mestre
In a splendid location in the historic centre of Mestre, the Municipality of Venice makes the Palazzo della Provvederia, available to couples for wedding ceremonies and the establishment of civil unions.
This historic palace was built in 1457 when the Mestre Civic Council, made up of representatives of the most important Mestre families, asked the Podestà for permission to build a new loggia for their regular meetings. This is the current Palace of the Provvederia.
The Palace, which over the centuries has seen the alternation of various city institutions, is now available to couples wishing to get married or form their civil union in the historical context of the city. The Hall is located on the 2nd floor and access is from Via Palazzo.
From the hall it is possible to access a small balcony, with a view of the splendid setting of the historic centre of Mestre, where couples can create a special memory.
The hall is furnished in style in shades of red, with large decorated windows and is equipped with a hi-fi system playing classical music.
On the ceiling is a canvas by painter Giuseppe Urbani de Gheltof depicting “Mestre”.
