9.06.2021- Evolution of European environmental policies - Giovanni Tonolo, European University Institute

This appointment is included in the "Cycle of meetings on the European Union" which consists of 5 online lessons that can also be attended individually, on Wednesdays from 18.00 to 19.00. 
Giovanni Tonolo is a Phd researcher at the History Department of the European University Institute. He previously received his master’s degree from the Scuola Normale di Pisa and the University of Pisa. He deals mainly with social history and environmental history. His ongoing research project covers the history of palm oil development in Benin.
This meeting will focus on the evolution of European environmental policies.

 
The speech aims to analyze the birth and evolution of European environmental policies from the seventies to the present, thus trying to put in historical perspective the past challenges and those present.
