Tuesday 17th of may 2022 at 17.00 at Cinema Dante d'essai it was held the screening of the movie “Vado verso dove vengo” (trans. 'I go towards where I come from') (63 min) directed by Nicola Ragone and produced by FONDAtion MATERA - BASILICATA 2019, YOUTH EUROPE SERVICE, MEDITERRANEO CINEMATOGRAFICA (Italian production).

The projection was done by the collaboration between Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the City of Venice, the Cinema Dante d'essai member of the Circuit Europe Cinemas, the Circuit Cinema Venicee and Cinit - Cineforum Italian.

Film Synopsis:

From New York to Aliano, from London to Castelmezzano, life stories and voices of experts narrate the sense of leaving and the sense of staying, the abandonments and returns in the small towns of the Italy of the margins, where emigration and depopulation are great emergencies to be solved. 'Vado Verso Dove Vengo' is a crossroads of testimonies of a universe exploded into a thousand splinters, of shadows and doubles to be reunited in order to find a new destiny for the places that are in danger of disappearing, of having nothing left to tell and no one, moreover, to tell about them. Plots from which we need to start again to re-inhabit Italy and mend a new bond between small towns and big cities, between center and periphery, between local communities and global flows.
