08-30.06.2023 08-30.06.2023 Exhibition "The Founding Mothers and Fathers of the European Union"- Resana

From June 8 to 30, 2023, the exhibition “The Founding Mothers and Fathers of the European Union" is being held in Resana, in the province of Treviso, at the Resana Municipal Library, Via Castellana 6. The exhibition is organized by Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice in collaboration with the Municipality of Resana.

The inauguration was held on Thursday, June 8 at 12 noon in the presence of the authorities, with the participation of Stefano Bosa, mayor of Resana.

The exhibition consists of twenty-two panels in Italian and English illustrating the figures of women and men who contributed, through their constant efforts, to transforming the European Union from a dream into reality.

The Europe Direct Venezia Veneto service, a European Union information point active in the Veneto region, is offering the educational exhibition "The Mothers and Founding Fathers of the European Union," on official documentation from the European Commission.

Citizens will be able to visit the exhibition with free admission:

Monday through Wednesday: 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Thursday and Saturday: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The exhibition is dedicated to the 8 women and 13 men-visionary leaders-who inspired the creation of the European Union in which we live today.
Without their commitment and motivation, we could not live in the context of peace and stability that we take for granted today. Resistance fighters or lawyers and parliamentarians, the pioneers of the EU were a diverse group of people moved by the same ideals: peace, unity and prosperity in Europe.
Oltre ai pionieri presentati di seguito, molti altri hanno ispirato il progetto europeo e hanno lavorato instancabilmente per realizzarlo.
