Europe urgently needs a renewed commitment to cancer prevention, treatment and care to meet the growing challenges posed by this disease and to increase the chances of curing and defeating it. The European Cancer Plan is the EU's response to these needs.

The webinar series, which takes the form of an educational/informational pathway, focuses on lung and breast cancer with the aim of providing knowledge, and thus awareness, of these diseases and raising awareness of their prevention, thus contributing to the improvement of the health of citizens, which is equivalent to the improvement of the general living conditions of the community.

The webinar series will address topics such as:
  • air pollution with a focus on indoor air pollution
  • new therapies
  • improvement of lifestyles
  • nutrition, alcohol and tobacco control (the latter activity, in particular, will also be aimed at schools, just as the webinar dealing with indoor air pollution will also be aimed at school principals)
  • psychological aspects of the disease
  • most appropriate facilities for treatment
  • European funding in the health sector
