On Monday 6 November 2023 from 12.30 to 14.30 took place the BACK TO UNIVERSITY meeting "Communicating Europe" with Alessandro Giordani, Deputy Director at the European Commission for Communication and Information Networks in the EU State Members. The focus of the public meeting was on communicating Europe, in particular the European elections in June 2024.

 

The meeting was held in Padua at the Aula Gabbin of Palazzo del Bo’, Via VIII Febbraio, 2.  
Participation was free of charge and open to all citizens until places are available.

"Back to University" is a project promoted by the European Commission that offers young people the opportunity to get to know the European project at first hand, thanks to EU officials who, for one day, become the "face of the Union" by returning to the university at which they studied to hold a meeting with students still enrolled at that university.

 

The initiative was the result of collaboration between the European Documentation Centre of the University of Padua, Europe Direct Veneto of the Municipality of Venice, Europe Direct of the Municipality of Padua, Europe Direct Montagna Veneta and the Alumni Association of the University of Padua.
Europe Direct was also present with an information desk and has handed out official material on the European Union for free.
