16-22.09.2024 European Sustainable Mobility Week 2024
From 16 September to 22 September 2024, the European Sustainable Mobility Week was held across Europe with the aim of engaging citizens on the road to sustainability and improving the quality of life in our cities. Every year, in the week designated by the European Union, thousands of cities and millions of European citizens celebrate sustainable mobility and send a message of change and renewal of our lifestyles.
For the 2024 edition, the European Commission has chosen to emphasise the importance of greater synergy to raise awareness towards sustainable mobility and to promote a change in lifestyles in favour of active mobility and the sharing of common spaces, in fact this year's slogan is: CHANGE AND GO!
For the City of Venice, the Europe Directof the Municipality of Venice service participated, which aimed to spread the European Green Deal with the following event:
During the European Sustainable Mobility Week, the third appointment of the cycle of meetings "The Green Deal is us" entitled "Building tomorrow's habitat" was held at the Auditorium M9, Museo M9 in Mestre. It is the screening of a film selected in collaboration with the CinemAmbiente Festival. The event was the last in a cycle of three meetings organised between May and September 2024 by Europe Direct of the Municipality of Venice and EuCliPA.it, the association of Italian Ambassadors of the European Climate Pact, on climate change and the need for a radical transformation of lifestyles, economy and society.
