22-27.07.2024 European training course in Umbria
From Monday 22 to Saturday 27 July 2024, the MFE Movimento Federalista Europeo's European training stay was held in Nocera Umbra (PG) in collaboration with Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice at the Fonte Angelica hotel.
The stay, which was attended by more than 40 people including students, tutors, lecturers and experts, dealt with several topics of central importance:
- the crisis of European centrality in the first half of the 20th century;
- federalism and the federal state;
- the process of European integration as a response to the crisis of nation states;
- Europe, the USA, Russia; the Mediterranean and the new world balance after the Russia-Ukraine war;
- technological innovations, ecological reconversion of the economy and NGEU.
Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice was present with its Office Manager Francesca Vianello, who gave a presentation on European mobility for young people and moderated the plenary discussion on Wednesday 24 July on the topic of "The European integration process as a response to the crisis of nation states ".
The European training course in Umbria is the prize for the competition "Let's become European citizens" a.s. 2023/2024 for young people and schools organised by the European Federalist Movement in collaboration with Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the Municipality of Venice to stimulate active and aware European citizenship. Competition for students in the three-year course of secondary schools in the Veneto Region.
