14 - 15.11.2024 Event on the Future of European Research

On Thursday, November 14 and Friday, November 15, 2024, an event on the future of European research called "The Future of European Researchers' Competitiveness: Fundamental Research and the European Research Council (ERC)" will be held at the Auditorium S. Margherita - Emanuele Severino, Dorsoduro 3689, in Venice.  It constitutes an important opportunity for both ERC winners and awardees and potential applicants to discuss and learn more. The initiative is organized by Europe Direct Venezia Veneto of the City of Venice in collaboration with Ca' Foscari University of Venice, ERC in Italy, and APRE - Agency for the Promotion of European Research.

Those who have been awarded the prestigious ERC funding will have opportunities for discussion, networking, and will be able to offer their skills and experience for one-on-one meetings as mentors. In addition, they will have the opportunity to learn more about the activities of ERC in Italy.
On the other hand, for those who will submit their applications, the event represents a unique opportunity to closely understand the dynamics of ERC calls, discuss with winners and awardees and the National Contact Point Marco Ferraro, and get valuable suggestions for participation in future calls.
