How to look for work - Eures

Eures - European Employment Services - is the European network of employment services coordinated by the European Commission.

It was created with the aim of improving the European labor market by stimulating employment through greater worker mobility, facilitating free movement within the European economic area and promoting the meeting between supply and demand.

The main objectives of Eures are: general information and orientation, pre-recruitment preparation, recruitment, matching and placement, post-recruitment assistance.
In order to make informed decisions about mobility, job seekers and job seekers need information on a range of practical, legal and administrative issues. The EURES worker mobility portal offers information tools for those who intend to move or hire people in another country.

The "Living and working conditions" database contains information on a number of important issues such as finding housing or school, taxes, cost of living, healthcare, social legislation,
comparability of qualifications, etc.

Another useful information tool is the "Moving and Working in Europe" section, which contains some related information and news.

Information on upcoming events of interest to job seekers in the selected country or region can be found in the Events calendar.

EURES has a network of more than 850 EURES Advisers who are in contact with jobseekers and employers across Europe every day.
Drop’pin is a project promoted by the European Commission which aims to help young people improve their skills and job prospects abroad. On the dedicated website you can find apprenticeships, internships,
training programmes, e-learning courses, language training, mentoring and coaching projects, as well as other services (e.g. accommodation help). The opportunities on Drop'pin are vast and varied. They range from on-site training, in the company, to online courses.

European job days days bring together, on site or online, people looking for work abroad and employers operating in other European countries. Hundreds of Job Days take place every year in 32 countries.
