The Office performs the following activities:

registration of marriage deeds, death, separation/cessation/dissolution of marriage rulings;

registration of deeds of incorporation of a civil partnership;

registration of marriage conventions;

registration of birth/marriage/death certificates relating to Italian citizens residing abroad;

recognition of foreign divorce rulings;
-
conclusion of separation and divorce agreements and registration of assisted negotiation agreements;

issuing of authorisations for cremation, transport of corpse/mortal remains/ashes, scattering of ashes;
-
receipt of expressions of willingness to cremate a corpse;
-
receipt of citizenship oaths, as well as all proceedings related to the acquisition/reacquisition/loss/recognition of Italian status civitatis;
-
AHD - Advance Healthcare Directive declarations.
The Zelarino Operations Centre carries out the following activities for the entire mainland:
-
registration of separation/cessation/dissolution of marriage rulings;
-
records of marriage conventions;
-
transcription of birth, marriage and death certificates relating to events occurring in other Italian municipalities.
The Favaro Veneto Operations Centre carries out the following activities for the entire mainland:
-
transcription of birth/marriage/death certificates relating to Italian citizens residing abroad;
-
recognition of foreign divorce rulings;
-
receipt of citizenship oaths, as well as all proceedings related to the acquisition/reacquisition/loss/recognition of Italian status civitatis.
The Archives are responsible for updating civil status registers, ascertainment and certifications.
